The convertible children’s table (sandbox) with backlighting is designed for: - sand animation – drawing with sand on a lighted surface; - color therapy – drawing using colored quartz sand; - modeling with kinetic sand. The table comes with a lid that transforms it into a full-fledged children’s table and allows it to be used for writing, drawing, and coloring. The metal legs allow the table height to be adjusted to the child’s height. The legs are made of round metal tubes with diameters of 32 mm and 25 mm. The metal legs are coated using a powder polymer spraying process. The lighted surface is made of durable, shatter-resistant, milky-colored plexiglass, which is installed in grooves. The surface is illuminated using an LED strip with a safe 12V voltage. The backlight colors can be changed using a remote control.
The table frame is made of 16 mm thick laminated particleboard. The edges of all frame elements are finished with 1.0 mm thick PVC edge banding. Plastic caps are attached to the ends of the legs to prevent injury to children and damage to the floor. A photo print is applied to the side surface of the table. Special inks are used for the photo print, which cure under the radiation of special ultraviolet lamps. A varnish coating is also applied to the print itself to increase resistance to external damage, abrasion, and wet cleaning.
